Production Taycan styling betrayal

I've gone from excited and interested to meh... on the Misson-e /Taycan.

The styling at the front has lost all its strength and individuality and just looks like a panamera from the front now. This would not be a bad thing if you weren't making a massive statement about your future with a fully electric sports saloon. The loss of the pronounced shoulders over the front wheels in particular seems to have dumbed down the design hugely.

If all feels very old school car manufacturer by not delivering on a brilliant looking concept, lets hope it's just really, really good camouflage cladding.

I do hope the front works out but I agree, the whole concept has lost most of it defining elements. Side on you can see the front wing peak is much lower and further back watering down that leaping forward stance . Perhaps someone on the team still feels bitter about this not making production?!

Just looking at the images and the similarities between the 996 4 door and the production taycan are amazing! The rise of the rear door and its window profile, the A pillar and front wing/door shut line, it's mental!!

On a different note, this car would probably take the "ugliness" title of 996...
