Spotted a few interesting websites that do bodykits for 944's. Thing is, I can't decide whether it makes the 944 look less dated, or is just a rude boys wet dream.

All they really do is flare the 944 aggressive side panels a bit more... which I don't mind.

They have a rather radical way of getting ride of the hatchback though!

So what's the view here?

Has anyone done this?

Be gentle!!!

Just no. I'm not 1000% happy with the way the back looks, but then you see it from a low side profile, and it all makes sense again.

Not forgetting also, that the chap who dreamt these abortions up is French. Nuff said...

None of these do anything for me...
I know what you mean about the back, the Turbo/s2 rear valance tidies it up nicely imho. They do pop up on Ebay now and then.(still lookin!)
Cheers J.

I think that I would definitely consider 3 things :

1. Front lip spoiler
2. Rear valance to clean up the lines
3. Perhaps, and I mean perhaps... a boonet change, with a groove in it.

Yup, trust the french to dream up something awful like that stationwagon crap!

Sometimes I have images of myself driving a 944 with the above mods and racing stripes, but then I can see "prick" instead of "porsche" as the decals and it stops!

I don't think they enhance the look of the car.

Also the only modded cars which (IMHO)look any good are the ones where people have spent (lots of) time and money getting them perfect. Even some of the Kev'd up hatches look quite good, or at least you can appreciate them for the quality of the work, paint job, co-herence of the mods, etc.

If you start hanging bits fibre glass off your car you will have to make sure you do a really good job, full respray? This is on top of anything else the car requires doing to it. Remmember these things are 15+ years old. Even good ones will need things doing which, unless you can do yourself will cost £s.

Otherwise you could end up with a car that just looks embarasing and is worth a lot less than you paid for it.

just my 2 pence

I was in touch with Strosek about a 911, and they mentioned that Jacquemond has copied and sells Strosek body kits on their behalf.

Strosek has made some quality enhancements. In particular, very ncie side skirts for the 944.

Right, I appear to have had some answers! General sentiment is an overwhelming 'no'!
