The car I'm interested in has 20-inch Sport Techno wheels fitted.

I wasn't keen on them initially, thinking I preferred Carrera Classics. OPC has offered to switch them out, but I'm now having a wobble.

Perhaps I like the Carrera Classics because I see them so often so they're familiar - not seen many Sport Technos at all - I think they may be growing on me.

Is one perceived to be more desirable than the other, or does it not make much difference?

Sport Techno wheels are the best wheels imo.

What car are these on? 911 or 981? On 981 they are 10 or 10.5 wide from memory, not 11.5.
My favourite on either. Classics are very common, and not a fan personally. Techno's also very easy to clean.

Not sure what car they are from, but they give you an idea of the relative weights.

It's 981 2.7 litre.

The relative weight is useful, thanks.

Classics for me

I wouldn’t buy that car with technos because of the wheels - they look a bit better when the inner spokes aren’t black

I think they really suit the car and as an added bonus they're really easy to clean. smile

Sport Technos look superb on the Boxster. The weights quoted above are not like for like and all sizes are wider than the Boxster which should have 10" width for 20" diameter.

Right choice,IMV, with the Sport Techno’s

Classics don’t work particularly on the Boxster :-)

I remember having the same difficult choice when speccing my 981 C from brand new back i 2013. I ended up going for the Classics. They're pretty easy to clean. Added bonus that they are still a current design on the 718....as my car is black, it looks like a brand new 718...without the 'lawnmower' sounding engine.
