Just posted this in the Car Buying section...figured now that this may be the better place for the question.

Just interested in the sort of depreciation rates we are talking about (1-3 year time span) of new Porsche models (911, Panamera Estate, Macan, Cayenne). Which models do you think will suffer the least, and maybe which options are likely to improve resale values.

Brexit will not change the gfv, you need to goto an OPC and ask for a GFV after 3 years, they have all the figures.

Simples.

Put the age range into autotrader/pistonheads to see that they are advertised for then knock off 10% for dealer fees. All porsches ought to be 50%+ at 3 years.

They certainly will change the GFV if a no deal happens (obviously not for existing finance contracts for people who own the cars), just like they will be charging more for the car if the import tarif doesnt change.

He didn’t ask about GFV though, he asked about depreciation, which will be directly affected by what happens with brexit.

I’m assuming he doesn’t already own the car as he was asking about a range of models.

Forgot to mentin that I live in Switzerland, so the whole Brexit situation does not affect me.
The above being mentioned pardon my ignorance, but what is GFV and BMD?

I was looking for general values plan on keeping it 2-3 years and just trying to figure out what the itch will cost to scratch

I am leaning towards the 11’er...what are some sought after extras that help move a used one fast and command a premium? One more mention, it will be a manual, an automatic sports car is of no interest to me.

GFV is Guaranteed Future Value....it’s a value on a type of finance/leaseplan which is very popular here in the UK.

To answer your question in general Panamera biggest depreciation and 911 the least. If you’re after a manual car you need to be looking at something more driving focused so a GTS or T.
In fact a 991.2 T would be my car to buy in a drivers spec.

If you’re looking at manual cars I’d also look at 981 Boxster Spyder, 981 GT4 or even a new 718 GT4 which may be easier to buy in CH that it will be here!

If something like a T is of interest (I am sure they will bring one out for 992) you would want to go for Buckets, No Rear Seats, No Sunroof and basically keep it as simple and driver fiocused as you can.

GFV and depreciation are directly linked, hence I said the best way is to visit an OPC and ask about gfv.

They won’t know what values are going to be post brexit.

Anyway this is irrelevant, he’s not even buying in England.

I am sure OPC all offer GFV, it's not UK or Brexit thing. getting a it sick to death with the word Brexit from EU lovers.
