Not blowing cold.

Do I take it for a top up somewhere first and see if that fixes it or is there a simple way of checking it's more serious than that such as a compressor fault?

Thank you

If a top up "fixes" it, this is not a fix, because it means you have a leak.

Reason for the fault needs determining and fixing, be it a leak or anything else, before you put any gas in it (if indeed necessary).

If you get somewhere to top it up they would usually do a pressure test, if pressure is being lost they put a dye in so you can see where it is leaking. Sometimes you do get seals drying out over winter if you don’t use the aircon much which can cause some gas loss, this can sometimes simply be fixed by use.

Thanks that's useful. Would you go to an official Porsche stealer for this?, the car is 4 years old

Was at Porsche centre today for a software update.

They reckon an AC pressure switch needs replacing. This involves removing the front bumper, drain and refill the system. £600+

It was a good job I was sitting down
