Sports Exhausts for 996 GT2
Discussion
Guys, just wanted to know what if anything people have done about sports exhausts on GT2's.
The car I've bought has a Roock system with race cats at the moment, but it's still hardly any louder than the standard system. The only thing I miss about the Ferrari 360 was the sound with the Tubi exhausts.
I understand turbo cars never sound the same, but there must be something out there that can be recommended?

GT2 and TT sports exhausts are the same as far I understand them.

The Fabspeed I have is fantastic, both in sound and in the +35bhp. It also has a very nice burble on deceleration.
Only downside is a bit of a boom @2.5k rpm. DMS have sorted this boom on their systems, maybe worth a call.

if you want more noise, just strip the interior of the carpets at the back.
This is what I have done..
Over the years I have spent thousands on sports exhausts and have had probs with certain track days re noise limits.!
Have just stripped out the rear carpet section of my GT3 and the sound is now awesome, believe me, I do not need a sports exhaust, only downside at moment is that rear looks a little untidy, but my car is Basalt Black/Black buckets so not so noticeable..
Went down to Parr motorsport yesterday in Crawley, they are gonna measure the car up for some nice Carbon panel bits for rear, also cleanup and spray rear metal section + make some Carbon templates for loom etc.
Will keep posted.

I hear what your saying speedyellow. I missed my tubi 360 note after moving into my GT2. I fitted a Gemballa system which to me sounded no better than OE - this is the problem with most of the German systems. I then switched to the tubi on the GT2 and it sounded the business. I didnt experience any of the boom mentioned above. Only the contrary, the note was pitched perfectly to reflect whats lurking in the engine bay.
Not so sure about the milltek... if you buy a £120k car then u need to have a quality system... not the same system as a Saxo owner. You wouldnt put TSW wheels on your GT2 would you?
