Porsche PCM & Bluetooth woes with media
Discussion
Ive just taken delivery of a 2018 Cayenne (latest model) and I’m having trouble with the PCM media and Bluetooth.
When I connect the car to my iPhone via Bluetooth, and select the media, the list of artists are duplicated....In most cases 3 times. Two of the entries open up the album but wont play. Only one of the entries will play. If I go to the cover flow of albums, these are also all over the place with numerous separate entries with only one track from the album.
Ive tried deleting the connection, turning off the car, iPhone, reconnecting etc, but have the same problem.
If I connect via a cable (ie as an IPod) everything is fine.
Ive connected an iPad (ie synced to the same iTunes library) and this also all seems fine ... so the problem seems to be with the ‘handshake’ between the car and the iPhone only and only via Bluetooth !!
Being able to connect the iPad via Bluetooth kind of rules out a car problem, and connecting via a cable rules out the iPhone ... so not sure where to go.
My only though was whether the car holds some sort of memory of the Bluetooth connect that it remembers even if the connection is deleted.
Any ideas ?

No ... I found an option within the system to "reset" ... it basically turned the car back to factory settings so no preferences were saved such as home screen etc ....
That being said, I do (apparently) have the latest software version to stop the system rebooting... so far no reboots !!
