New Shape Tracker Fob
Discussion
Just taken delivery of a new Cayenne, which is great. It comes with the new shaped fobs that you need to have in the car to avoid a phone call from Vodafone enquiring as to whether the car has been stolen.
I found it impossible to find a pouch to safely store the fob, so had one custom made.
Looks and feels great and cost £45 from Mackenzie leather shop in Edinburgh.
Now that they’ve got the pattern, they should be able to knock them out quite easily.
Very highly recommended

Hopefully your keys are never stolen. Happened to my neighbour but one and the insurance company asked why an alert was not recorded when he had an active tracker. Said it was attached to the keys (similar arrangement to what you have). Insurer said that he had fallen foul of the terms of the insurance by not keeping them apart and refused to pay out. Car was recovered fortunately but the insurance company simply pointed to the Vodafone website. Different story if it had been a violent attack and he was forced to handover the tracker.
I use a Bellroy Card Pocket and it's zipped so easy to drop the fob into it and means the keys and fob are kept apart. I never leave without my wallet so never have a problem remembering the fob. Over time the leather has worn around it and it's a well made wallet. https://bellroy.com/products/card-pocket/default/c...

Good point about insurance. The photo doesn’t show it, but it’s actually my house key attached to the fob, not my car key, so hopefully I won’t fall foul of the insurance company if I ever need to make a claim.
I used to keep the previous (slightly thinner) fob in my wallet, but the new fob was too uncomfortable.
As I never leave home without my house key, it should keep the system working.

Thanks for this. Anyone got a suggestion for a pouch for the old style more square remote? I find it a damn nuisance to carry it unattached from my key.
If you have the same Vodafone/Cobra fob as me, then this will workhttps://cobracartech.co.uk/cobra-replacement-key-f...
Mine fits really tight into the pouch, so there's no danger of it falling out. I now have my ignition key on a separate keyring, and the fob on the same keyring as my house keys.
