At a guess, It could either be a gearbox or engine mounting bush, or a lose undertray.

This.

This one is from Yorkshire, has a Kenwood CD player, tinted windows, a new water pump and now has a strange noise. It also at some point was lowered but the OP decided against it and put the original springs back on.

Sounds like a typical 996/997 owner slowly learning that these are not cheap cars to run and every little rattle and noise from the back has you wondering if the engine is about to let go (which they often do)

and whats your point mate, there is nothing wrong with my car that tightening 1 screw on the underside tray didnt solve, nor is it for sale, and I very much doubt the engine is about to let go, but thanks for your pointless input,
