They will fit physically but, depending on spec, there 'might' be some electrical issues to tidy up.

Can you be more specific; what spec of 987 seat would be coming out and what spec of 981 seat would be going in? And I presume both sets would be from like-handed cars (ie: both LHD or RHD sets, and not replacing a set of seats in a RHD car with seats taken from a LHD)?

My spyder 987.2 has 2 way sports plus with heating and I have found a set of 981 2 way plus seats with heating both rhd

I would expect that to be plug and play. There are no occupancy sensors involved in RHD installations (which is one of the main areas of potential problem). Maybe just check that the yellow connector block located under each seat looks to be the same in both cases.

(Can't guarantee this, of course, but that's what my knowledge and experience would suggest!(
