That could potentially be incredibly serious, the windscreen surround seams to have completely collapsed.

No information about the cause of the accident so no way to know what happened. Based on a photograph no reason to jump to any conclusion.

Well, other innocent road users comes to mind.

The roof does look disturbingly flattened eek Not see that before.

I’m guessing it’s a convertible or speedster.

Sad to see. Another air cooled bites the dust - literally.

I’m glad that there were no injuries.

Looks like the A131. You can get to triple digits on that section if you wanted to.

Hope all ok, guessing that's one of his 'speedster' creations. If so, what happened to rollover protection bars?

I can’t see how that speedster replica is safe to sell if that is how it behaves in a rollover so it’s a damaging for the PS brand unfortunately.
How would eg a genuine 964 speedster behave if it rolled? Would the windscreen fold flat like that one?
Glad there were no serious injuries and if he had a passenger they might not have had the foresight to duck down quickly the way the driver did, road seemed to be straight and dry so would be interesting to know how it ended up with it wheels in the air.
Maybe he will speak about it at some point.

Shocking and a real worry for those using classic cars if the structure deteriorated to the point it cannot perform its role.

Is that confirmed?

Pretty miraculous if true.

yeah, Paul Stephens was driving at the time and ducked down (assuming into the passenger seat) and survived with minor cuts and bruises.

Good result!

A spirited test drive with a potential customer perhaps?

Porsche Cars banned those in the late '90s after a series of high profile road accidents - some fatal. If a prospective customer wanted a 'test drive' they went out with a 'driving consultant', such as Bernard Aubrey, rather than a sales person.

But it's ultimately why the PECs were established - to demonstrate the cars' capabilities in a purpose built and safe environment.

Pure conjecture, but it looks like the driver lost control, and perhaps went up the bank, initiating the roll but giving time to duck. However, result does not look good.

I wonder if that is no actually a flattened roof but one of their Spyders? If so, and he really got out more or less unharmed then it is actually a pretty good advert for the integrity of the build.
