Is this correct? or not????

Fitted the new springs/dampersthis weekend, but am concerned as to the spring coils being tightly wound...Am I worrying too much...

I'm no expert but that doesn't look right at all.

They are H&R progressives so I was informed....I've also been informed that it might be the helper part of the spring thats designed to keep the spring in the hat...

I had a lot of grief fitting this setup, getting the old stuff of, brake pipes etc. i sure don't want to have to remove this lot again.....my hands have never been so black and blue nicks and cuts everywhere...

For those without rennlist logins, the pic basically shows 4 green painted coils of a spring, one of which bears the brand 'cargraphic'.

None of the coils appear to have any air between them, I know nothing about suspension but I'd expect some space between the coils of a spring!

Edit - tell me if you don't want this inlined...

This is not right. That cant have the correct weight loading, its as flat as a pancake. Well at least you wont have much body roll now but you may have plenty of bounce.

I also had a reply from the Rennlisters and one of the guys over there has had his a while and looks exactly the same....very weird.
