Need recommendations: for Porsche newbie
Discussion
Hello 911 guys,
I'm a Bimmer guy and have been and still working on my cars as far as I can technically do it myself.
There's an itch in me to want to venture out to the 911 world. There was a similar question asked in 2005 in this forum but things may have changed. I'm looking into owning a 997.2 but I read that it's very difficult to get to things inside a newer Porsche engine. Is it a real problem compared to other cars like BMW in terms of repairs and parts upgrades?
Please suggest year-range or models which you think I should look into so I meet my requirements:
DIY work
driving characteristics --- pure control
physical lovely lines
naturally aspirated
6 cylinders
