718 GT4 Deliveries

Hi,

Has anyone heard of anyone receiving the new GT4 yet in the UK?

My car is due to arrive in 4 weeks, however I've heard a few rumours that there is now a delay on production.

My local Porsche dealership said that it was still scheduled on time, however any previous cars have always been late too, which I understand is usually out of their hards :-)

If anyone has heard any news or info on the above, it would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Ive seen a few 718 Spyder delivered but no 718 GT4's as of yet

Have you seen / heard them out on the road yet in the UK?

I'm still struggling to get my hands on a sound clip of what the cars actually sound like.

For whatever reason, it seems like Spyders have been built first. My build date for the GT4 is the 25th November. I was told delivery about 3 weeks later, so I expect to see it in Christmas paper wrapping!

My GT4 was production complete on 2nd October. I'm told the 'on sale' date is 18th Nov meaning no GT4s can be delivered before then in the UK.

Thanks MGT3. Did you have an order number that you could check the status of your build online or were you relying on the dealership to update you?

Porsche don’t have an online order tracking system....only way to get an update is via the computer system OPC’s have which in my experience isn’t as accurate as you would think it would be.

Yep exactly. I periodically give them a call to see if there has been an update.

Mine is showing at being at the dealer around the 8th of November, leaves checkpoint 8 on Friday.

That makes sense, it is normally two weeks from CP8/330 completion to leave Emden, then a week each to UK and on to dealer, then another week for PDI.

Are you having any protection film/ceramic coating?
