Hi all,

I currently drive a C7 RS6 performance. Absolutely cracking car and great performance but for some reason keep looking at the current Panamera.

Has anyone had any experience of Porsche Cambridge? Thinking of just popping in tomorrow to have a look at the various models but just wandering what they are like.

I know people who have had very off reports of the AM dealership next door.

ask for a new GT4 RS 1st and see what they say.

then say you will buy a Panamera if they give you a GT4 RS slot, win win.

I'll pay you £5k over for the RS :-)

Dealt with OPC Cambridge for around 14 years, had 5 cars from them.
Top team right through all departments.

Hope that helps

Not bought a car (yet) from Cambs OPC but they’ve done all the servicing work on my MacanS and they’re brilliant.

Can’t be complimentary enough about them. I was blown away by level of service I got when I bought my car from them. Damian was very good to deal with.

The worst dealership ever !!The timing chain snapped in my Macan S and Cambridge replaced the engine as the oil got contaminated with shards of metal and it was the quickest and cheapest option for them as still under warranty however the re-used the turbo even though it was fed by the same oil that ruined the engine. Any way to cut a long story short I then bought the car and after another £4000 spent at Porsche Brooklands, who found that the turbo was knackered as suspected Cambridge would do nothing. For a service they probably cant go wrong but I would advice not getting any major works done here or a111 point check as the clearly don’t know there arses from their elbows and will run a mile should anything bad happen.

Recently picked up my new 992 from Porsche Cambridge. Found them to be excellent. Ask for Scott Riley.

We’ve now moved the servicing of our other two Porsche’s to them.

Thanks all. Popped in today and spoke with Gavin. Had a good look round the panamera, liked what I saw, especially the out of budget turbo s e-hybrid in the showroom. Arranged a test drive next weekend in a non turbo e-hybrid.
Also really loved the iris blue 911 they had on the forecourt, such a shame I can't get the bikes to fit....

Repeating some of the earlier posts - I have had a good experience with them, servicing my car.

My car is at the cheaper end of the Porsche market (996) - they offer the classic/fixed price service menu - so its a cheap option. They treated me very well......will definitely use them again.

Only got good things to say about OPC Cambs
Sales - spot on - not pushy, relaxed no real 'sell' - ideal smile
Service - again can't fault them - they've replaced my engine (twice...) now !

Its not like I've bought loads of cars from them - only had two (Pana Turbo & GT3)

Car will be going there for its 2 year warranty check extension shortly

Only experience I have had with them is a PPI, under the guise of a 111 point check. They orange flagged a couple of things (Sports exhaust valve stuck - no PSE, and the rear washer jet non operational - no rear washer jet) that I thought were odd.

I have been dealing with Cambridge for over 20 years and had many new cars from them.
They have always treated me well, I have been dealing with David Bowyer for several years now.

I’ve bought two cars from them since 2016 and am taking delivery of two more at the end of the year. I can definitely echo the positive comments above. Great sales team with no pressure selling and excellent servicing.

I echo most of the sentiment on here and can highly recommend them....as someone has already said, seek out Scott Riley in sales. Truly a great guy!

I have had my business in the group (East London) and moved it out to Cambridge when I moved out of London. Ordered a new Macan GTS from Cambridge last year and there were a number of QA issues from the factory. Sorted it out but sales pushed it to service (with no further check in or ownership). I was told that these problems were rare and never happen. Spoke to DP. Oh yeah, we've had one of the problems you experienced regularly from the factory. No apology or anything.

Sold the car 2.5 months later as I had lost confidence in it and their offer was £5k lower than the best price I'd had. Two months after I sold the car, had their sales manager call me asking if I was thinking of selling. Their service team and the service team at Colchester I've found to be very good, I've encountered a number of genuine enthusiasts there who own, drive and race.

I think there will be good and bad in any dealership but at the end of the day, all dealerships are these days are finance brokers with showrooms. To hope for more is to risk disappointment.
