Thanks. Love it and considerable amount of work involved to make an old chassis drive so well with torquey 320bhp but $1m preposterous if its not an April Fool joke! DLS any day of the week with Williams Hans Mezger 500bhp air cooled please smile

1 mill,hehe
Makes my hillclimber 2 mill then,as it would eat it.Nice car but 1 mill,is just as said before ridiculous.
Is there dyno figures yet for the 500bhp singer, would like to see them,as that is a real mission to achieve 500bhp.

As an ownership proposition its very compelling when compared with a Singer. Doesn't stack up so well when you consider what else you can have for a million dollars.

Thing is with old 911s it's the law of diminishing returns. Just how much more fun is HC having on that road compared to say, if it was a very well sorted Carrera 3.2?

Lovely car though

What a early 1970 911 with a 300bhp 3.4 and some KW 3 ways.

I’ll take a genuine LHD 964 RS in Maritime, Rubystone, Mint or Ferrari Gelb (RSVP911’s would be THE perfect donor car)

Garnish with carbon doors, engine cover, front wings and bonnet, lightweight battery, RS seats reproduced in carbon, 3.8 360-380hp engine courtesy of Rothsport, a set of Ohlins TTX’s, 993 RS front uprights, aaaaand .... £500k plus in the bank.

Thanks smile

What a ridiculous some of money for a hot rod. Good luck to them if they can make $750,000 profit per car.

What's the extent of your air cooled experience, ownership, driving various models?

It's not realistic to make an empirical judgement based on watching you tube videos.

And at that price a CGT worth 3 mill!

Don’t disagree with the logic but I think a DLS is more like $2mil !

Air cooled don't even sound great? No idea what R means here.
For me a 964 with cat delete and a cup pipe is the pinnacle of 911 sounds, with possible exception of certain GT3's.

O dear,not again!
My one airy is 930kg with me in it fueled ,back to 380bhp 3.8 next season with freshen up of the engine,it sounds mental with the 997rsr seq gearbox. The car i take out for real fun on the road is a 1973 special also.
No need to go to jeff at rothsport,he builds some great engines, but some good motors here also.

I love the 5001 car so please don't get me wrong. I reckon if you spend a cool $1m on a 5001 ur not going to be too fussed about $2m on a Singer!

318bhp @ 8,000rpm.
That’s like 210lbft @ peak power? Hell of a drop off from supposed 275lbft peak for a ‘detuned race engine for the street’. What an expensive load of garb. And seriously, a more open exhaust box being worth 30-40hp gain on a 3.4l motor? C’mon geez.

Or maybe I could just leave it as Porsche originally created it smile
