996 C2 late 90s Traction Control Option

As above, how common an option was this and is it worth having ?

We tried to buy a blue 99 C2 manual yesterday. It had 48 options on it, inc traction control.

Are you sure these were all options and some not simply codes for usual spec items?

No it wasn’t. It was standard on C4 but not C2.
My UK supplied 996.2 C2 does not have it.

In over 10yrs of 'enthusiastic' driving I've only triggered mine twice, 1 of those was me deliberately being a prat on very low tread Pirellis it came with, the other time it 'may' have saved me, I'm really not sure.

I'm surprised it wasn't standard, especially on the C2, but I didn't buy mine from new so I've learnt something.

You believed an OPC salesman?

I understand that TC was an option on early 996.1 C2, the C4 came with PSM as standard and at some point the PSM option replaced the TC option on the C2.
(If anyone knows better I am happy to be corrected)
