Porsche Cayenne 3.0 D 2010 boot closure

Hi,
Not sure on the model code but this was the new shape in 2010. The boot is not an auto closure like I've had in a couple of Q7's, but its take a great push to make it close correctly. Most of the times it doesn't lock resulting in boot open messages.
Can anyone tell me if the non auto boot has soft closure at the end as well? or is it all manual ?
I'm not sure if it is the catch or locking mechanism. Any help appreciated.
