I'm thinking of getting a slightly smaller wheel (partly to preserve the original) possibly with quick release facility for added security.

Any suggestions?

Hi Andy,

Vic Cohen has one that pops off. He takes the thing into hotels at night with him to stop the car getting nicked. I think he sleeps with it though, it is a wierd fettish.

That wasn't very helpful was it?

Good choice. See:

www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/POR_911M_911REC_pg9.htm

Although it needs a Porsche horn badge in the middle....like mine!

Or go and have a look on the Momo site:

www.momo.it/momoeng/set1.html

If you go to the Momo Corse section, click on racing and then "rally steering wheels", I have the Momo model 78. I used to have a model 08 on my M3 which was cool because of the yellow stripe at top dead centre. Model 07 looks like the Prototipo, buy it's not the same.

I'm pretty sure Vic got his " equipment " from Parr and at a decent price too.
