hello im new to this forum. I am trying to locate a 1982 porsche 911 that was built by my late father in the early 90s i have tried all the usual routes the onley thing i have found is that the car is on on sorn and has been since 2017 the reg is RAS ***S. if any one no's of the car or has any idea where it is any information would be great as i would like to purchase it back if possible.

Have you Googled the reg number on Google images? It may have been 'tagged' at a car club event or gathering.

yes i have googled the reg and nothing is there. and dvla wont release any information as the reason im looking is not good enough due to the data protection act.

If you havnt already, you could place the message on the following Porsche forum's and also go through the Facebook Porsche groups -

911 forum
Porsche GB forum

Or maybe give the full reg and details of the car and one of the PH's could track further information for you.

Why don't you try writing a letter explaining your situation, pay for postage and ask DVLA to forward to the current keeper? If you speak with someone in the right department they'll help as best as they can, especially if the local media got involved in a heart warming story whistle
