South Hampshire area, any suggestions?? Needs to be someone who can happily fit them to a 12J wheel without destroying them.

Thanks all.

Always used Micheldever Tyres as they are normally very competitive and also used to dealing with expensive alloys. 01962 774437 www.micheldever.co.uk/

Spoke to them as they are who I normally use, but they don't do the Corsa's....

Elite tyres in Horsham. Ask for Dave and tell him Paul Yewman sent you.

Probably charge double....

A little further afield, try Silverline Wheels & Tyres in Warwick (01926 490002) they are the guys who do track support for Autotrack.

If you are just looking at Corsa System then Kwik-fit (would you believe it) actually sell them, they are available online. Occasionally they do 15% off 2, and 25% off 4 deals.

Is the compound different, or just more tread?

Also worth talking to a specialist as according to titanic folks you may need your arches rolled for the motorsport version (i.e. not system). Parr motorsport or maybe JZM would be a good place to start.

One advantage of a GT2 is it already has rolled arches.... the downside is the speed it likes to eat the rear tyres.... I could drive slower I guess....

Do most Kwikfit places have machines capabile of taking a 12" wide wheel and anyone used a depo that was kind to their wheels and left them intact?

Do not under any circumstances let Kwik-Fit replace your tyres as I have learnt by experience. By all means buy them there but get someone experienced with large expensive alloys to fit them.

Elite at Horsham fitted Corsa Track tires to both mine and a friends GT2, they did a great job and do loads of work on Porsches. There are only a handful of dealers in the UK that are allowed to sell Corsa Track-tires.

Guy, how have you found the track compound tyre??? Will it last a few thousand miles and a couple of track days if not abused?

Yes they are at Mannings Heath.

The tires seem to last OK, I've only done one trackday in them, a couple of VMaxs and some road use though. They will wear faster than normal tires as they are softer. They have noticeably less grip in the cold or wet though, although the 600+bhp in my car doesn't help eg I had wheelspin on a damp M1 at 115mph in 6th recently..........

Have used silverline, warwick for Corsas on 993TT, 10inch, they are very competant.

Good luck... My GT2 is on corsa system at the moment, but will probably change to corsa track as soon as they disappear.
