I fancy a Porsche tractor
Discussion
I have no farm, no huge acreage so the whole thing is about as useful as a traction engine. Might be fun for local shows. Just saw a nice little article about them:

Don't go there mate! I'm trying to resist this myself,, and I do have some land to use it which makes it worse.. You can lose DAYS on here at the utility end https://www.mascus.co.uk/agriculture/used-tractors then looking on ebay and other auction sites. Before you know it you'll be thinking 'that's a LOT of machine for the money' and subscribing to Farmers Weekly

I’ve already gone there ! Have a Kubota compact tractor...... modern not antique though !It’s probably slight overkill but it saves a hell of a lot of time on a weekly basis in the summer with a cutting deck on it and once you’ve had a front loader in your life I am not sure you’ll ever go back !
I bought one 3 years ago, so I can speak from experience.
The romantic dream was simple: I am a big Porsche fan, own a number Porsche cars already, and thought it fun to have a Porsche tractor to take to shows, coffee and cars, and potter around the fields on it
The reality hasn’t quite been the same.
It’s fun to have in the garage and makes every visitor smile. Its been out in the snow a couple of times.
Its an old machine, requires regular TLC and I’m not very mechanically experienced. Most of the maintenance manuals are in German, parts can be hard to source, and with no diagnostic port most garages won't touch it. You will need to find a specialist.
Its been to a couple of Porsche Club events, and used by Porsche Reading in their showroom once. But the fact it needs a trailer, suitable tow car, and quite considerable effort, really limits the appeal of taking it to 'coffee and cars' on a Sunday morning.
I will never sell it, but I recommend thinking of it as a piece of Porsche memorabilia rather than any practical use.
Happy hunting!
(A few shots below - before the purists comment, it is not completely original, not 'matching numbers' and certainly not concours, but it orange and fun! Enjoy)

Brilliant ! Have none of the local agricultural machine places been helpful ? My local one is brilliant...they've got a couple of old tractors out the back they play around with. The customer service is superb as well...because they're used to dealing with farmers who can't wait a month for a service they normally get stuff sorted inside 24 hours. My idea also...I have four Porsches ( cars) and it would be fun to have the tractor - I have a trailer and tow vehicle so no problem there. it is a bout as useful to me as a tutu, but still....might be isolation CV madness

Quite a couple still around in the home market. Good ones cost less than a set of wheels for a Carrera.
