Expensive Trackdays
Discussion
Bedford last Thursday, hit a rabbit at 145mph on the 1km straight.
Trackday £200
Fuel £75
Front lip spoiler £192.65
Undersheild/wheelarch cover £ 66.80
Air duct £ 12.57
Rubber mount £ 8.41
Small undersheild spolier £ 20.42
Rad cover/air router £ 74.02
Another undersheild broken but im superglueing that one.
OPC say around £450 to fit, i say im doing it myself!
Add to that brake, disc and tyre wear (well tyres are knackered anyway) and it seems like an expensive 3 hours.
Mind you it could have been worse, i could have stracked it! :silly:

Bedford...home of the 'Rabbits that say NEEEEEEH!'
(...if you're familiar with the source of Fatboy's photo, you'll know what I mean!)
One thing's for sure...I'm keeping my GT3 WELL clear of Bodmin...new EVERYTHING if you hit the mighty bunny at 145!

Just finished replacing me parts. Bumper off parts replaced, took around an hour and half and i dont have any screws left over.
Smile back on my face and was feeling pretty good until the missus came home and backed into MY new van with MY 1yr old golf. Says its because shes pregnant and she will pay for it..... wonder where shes getting the money, she doesnt work.

Think this thread rather confirms my view that when I finally get around to doing trackdays I will get hold of a cheap and cheerful 944 to do them in, so the costs won't hurt so much!
