What size?
19” would be my choice. Although most 981s have 20” (ideally with PASM), I suspect that 19s would give the best ride/handling balance,

They do look quite striking - and quite tasteful against the otherwise clean finish of the white car above.
Personally dislike the cluttered stickers some people feel the need to add, and IMO they always look better without.

Lovely wheels, suit the car nicely IMO.
But I always think it a little pointless having nice wheels in black, hides the detail.

Don't change - much, much classier.

The others will look like cheap aftermarket wheels. However much they really cost.

Perhaps have your wheels re finished in anthracite? I’ve never been a big fan of diamond cut rims as they seem to corrode badly after a while.

Quite often it’s wheels cleaner that’s to blame...especially if you take a car to a hand car wash place....they tend to use heavy duty cleaner to make their jobs easier and the wheels suffer as a result.

Since when were large diamond cut wheels with a modern design 'classy'? Your suggested replacement wheel is a literally a more classic BBS style.

I quite like them, and I'm very hard on non OEM wheels usually.
And def. in gold! Gives a good contrast to the white body!

But you'd need some Porsche decals or a blank center cap (or at least a HRE b/w one), as the HRE one looks kind of daft, imho.

Why does it basically have the coat of arms of Switzerland? Actually it is not allowed to be used on products, unless you have been given approval by the federal government.

I really like the look of the white one. I reckon those wheels, but keep them silver. I also suspect you wouldn't get the look you want without lowering the car too (so budget for that).

The HREs are exceptionally good wheels. Flawless quality and very light too (so they should be for the cost).

I'd go with them just like on the white car if it were me!

I have run HRE wheels on my 997 CSR for 5 years and been really pleased with them. They are very lightweight and sturdy and have worn really well. Had them refurbished once in 5 years with no big issues.

I like the look of those wheels on the cayman. Go for it smile

Look great. Far better than the chintzy factory wheels...

Wheels are easy on / off, it's not as if you are painting the bodywork with a B&Q paintbrush!!

So have whatever you like the best and enjoy a wonderful car!

Don't worry about getting the darker colour, the lighter ones will look like this with some brake dust. hehe So you get to have 2 colour finishes with one set of wheels!

My wheels with brake dust:

New and clean (weiss gold, FYI):
