to Parr to have the JRZ suspension, Brembo floating discs, new pads, brake fluid and a full setup.

Thanks to those who gave me a ride in their cars at Bedford.

That and the new BBS LM's I ordered yesterday, is making this an expensive week!!!

Just hope the wife doesn't find out!

Cheers guys! I am really looking forward to getting it all done. Goes into Parr on Monday 4th July, then I will be at a track day near you fairly soon afterwards!

Cost - all in cost for Suspension, 2 front Brembo floating discs, Pagid rs29's front only, SRF Brake fluid, full setup ,labour and VAT is £5910.44.

Glenn - coming from a man who Manthey'd his car in one go, who owns a Turbo Cab and is rumoured to be thinking of a DB9 Volante!!! I can only dream...!

Had the following done:

1. Full JRZ suspension with track setup
2. Brembo floating front discs
3. Pagid rs29 pads and SRF brake fluid
4. BBS LM split rims with Pirelli Corsa track tyres
5. New larger front lip spoiler

Here are some pics of the car - looking good me thinks!

Mark

All the right upgrades for a MK2 it will fly, when you need a clutch around 35k miles bin the dual mass fly wheel it saves a massive 28lb of rotating mass & lets the motor rev up quicker... Stick a carbon bonnet on the shopping list the MK2 is a little bit on the porky side too... Try and do the PCGB track day 26/7 at Silverstone Glenn & I will be there with our Manthey'd MK2 & MK1 it will be good to compare...

B.B Wolfie, Parr returned my car (996-C4s) last week after fitting the JZ suspension and larger diameter anti roll bars . Handling is now transformed , the only drawback is the intermitant clunking from the front helper springs .

Sorry for the hijack.

Looks superb. Are they 18"s or 19"s ? I am thinking of changing to them or Rial Le Mans but unsure of size to go for.

Mark, your GT3 on the BBS looks superb.

That's just about all the work I was looking at having done and I'm extremely jealous.
Now if I ever see you flying round a track, I'll know to move out the way!

Russell,

Thanks for the tip re the clutch, certainly will do that mod at the right time. Not sure about the bonnet etc. a few kilos here are there don't make that much difference, unless you are looking to entirely strip the car.

I am hoping to do Castle Combe on the 22nd (weather depending) and will try and do the Silverstone - how much is it?

Mark

The BBS LM's are 18's - i wouldn't put 19's on a car, as getting track tyres is a pain in the arse! Anyway I don't think you need anything more than 18 inch rims.

Sam,

Thanks, I think so too!

If you see me at a track day, come and say hi. I will happily take you out in it for a few laps - i am sure you will be reaching for your cheque book after though!

Cheers,

Mark

My brother and I are doing the GP on the 18th of this month, an evening open pit with Goldtrack.

I read on the Goldtrack site that the noise is restricted to 98db - Is that static? If so, I know my car in standard form won't pass that.

Are you sure you will be able to get on track?

Bloody hope so. I never considered that I'd have any problems with the GT3, but I've only ever done S'stone in the M12 before with its woofly turbo's.

Edited to say I just rang them, and they don't see to think there will be any problem. Fingers crossed.

Russell,

The PCGB day is on the 26th, not the 28th mate ??

Mark,

Don't think noise will be a problem, i think the noise restriction is only because the Goldtrack sessions are in the evenings.
