911 Turbo advice/help please...!!!
Discussion
Hi There.
Having owned a 911 Carrera 993 years ago, (what a car) then sold it, I've always fancied the 993 Turbo. But, these are quite expensive now, for good reason.
So, if I was to look at buying a 911 Turbo, what series would people suggest I consider.
996 or 997...!!!!
Not sure budget could stretch any more than that. Say, £40,000 to £45,000.
Thanks for any help.

I think both equally good if you can find a good example that doesn't need too much maintenance. Ignore mileage look for one with low owners and lots of invoices. Beautiful 996 turbo s cab and 997.1 turbo at 911 Virgin if you want to pop down and compare yourself?
The 996 turbo s cab looks expensive but one owner most of her life driven motorways France to England and back. Hidden gem. People who criticise 996 turbo have not driven a good one. They suffer boost leaks, oil leaks and coolant leaks for fun just like any other mezger.
Actually I'd recommend a 6 speed 997.2 Carrera. Fantastic car and best in the range other than 997 GTS. Less to run in terms of maintenance and more fun IMO.
