Hi anyone have any experience of these?, I have the F90 M5 Comp, and looking at the Turbo to replace the M5.
How does it perform, anything not to like, thanks

I’ve driven two or three new Macan’s and have a 2018 Macan Turbo PP which is basically the same power as the new Macan Turbo. I’d say it’s the best daily driver I’ve ever had in terms of being able to deal with any weather, carrying four people in comfort and being ridiculous good to drive on a country road given it weighs 2 tonnes and is a 4x4.

Only criticism is the rear space is that’s relevant...four adults wouldn’t be good on a long trip. We only ever have kids in the back of ours so not an issue.

Like any Porsche they’re a bit spec sensitive. Only thing I don’t know about current cars is what the chassis is like on the Turbo. On the previous gen the GTS had a sportier chassis than the Turbo and the Turbo PP had the GTS chassis. Personally I love how my Turbo PP drives and would want that in the current car.

Service intervals are every two years or 20k miles whichever is the sooner....talking of which mine is going in on Wednesday for it’s first service.

I’d also take a look at a used Turbo Performance Pack.....I am guilty of upgrading cars as much as the next bloke but the only real difference in the bigger cars is the new screen...and if you use Apple Car Play the actual bit of the screen dedicated to that is the same size.

Great cars, but they do have a tendency to eat transfer boxes. If under warranty then okay, if not then £3k to replace.

MPG. I had one of the previous generation. Nice car. Do I miss it? Nope - not a jot. Was frequently getting sub 10mpg - which is worse than my continental GT!

Great cars, I've had the 2lt SD and petrol S Mk 1 & 2, mpg was never over 19/20 all on rural roads, enough room in the back for children.

I have the 2020 Macan Turbo as the family car - honestly can't fault it. Drives better than any other mini-SUV and has all the toys.

If I had to give constructive criticism...the interior dash etc feels a bit dated vs the competition, mainly due to the dozens of buttons everywhere!

My wife has a Turbo (gen 1) and it's a great car. The only SUV I have driven so far that I actually enjoy driving. It has great ride comfort and at still handles well when you press on.

If buying Turbo, don’t be lured by the cheaper examples without considering:

1. You need warranty for transfer case - they are likely to fail as there is design flaw. There’s just lots to go wrong.

2. The service costs are expensive and major service even more so if that’s due.

3. Brakes and tyres... I saw one that needed new brakes and tyres despite low ish miles. They are delightfully expensive.

Buying OPC for mine made excellent value - I got service free, over 2 years more warranty, and a nice experience to fix inevitable niggles.
Thanks for the sound advice, can't say i'm inspired TBH, will keep the F90 M5 Comp a bit longer.

I think the Panamera Turbo S or Turbo S e-hybrid would be the more direct competition to your current motor. Maybe you should consider one of these?

I need boot space and the Panamera boot is not big enough. Love a Turbo S, maybe when I don't need 4 seats LOL.

Yup....for what is a massive car the boot space is poor in the Panny. It’s narrow for one and then there’s the big boot lip which means it’s not great for dogs !

Probably had a hole in the fuel tank.

The Beemer will always drive better. I'm not a fan of the F90 but for what it does, few do better. Have you thought about the Alfa SUV?
Reputation / reliability on them not good, don't really fancy one. E63S estate may be good, need a test drive.
