Looking to freshen up the interior of the 918 (I think) buckets and have seen the Car Guys houndstooth inserts. Any suggestions on designs, installers and costs would be v welcome.

Pretty sure they're just velcro'd on so self install is dead easy...

Both have extensive reviews on Rennlist....not cheap ! I am sure there are UK companies that do it too.

I had mine done and supplied the tartan myself.

From memory it was about £700 + VAT, done by Linus Sadauskas who does the trim work form Porsche Reading Group. He's done various bits over the years for me including seats and alcantara, first class work.

That’s great I like the tartan.

I think Pascha would look good in a modern GT car too.

Definitely bold! Much better value than the others too. I’ve an Agate grey exterior so it will carry something with some colour.

Thanks gtsralph, have dropped Garry a line. Had a look at his work in his website gallery, looks great. Will discuss options and take from there. Excited, look fab.

Garry did the folding bucket heated seats on my Touring. He can either send you the finished covers or if you call in he will fit them at no extra cost while you wait. I popped down there today and was done and dusted in under an hour. Very happy with the quality of the work and the Houndtooth cloth he has is OEM so it's the real deal. Recommended. thumbup

Massive thanks to Garry at ClassicFX and to GTSRalph for putting me on to him. Made the long trip from Leicestershire down to Surrey (Garry offers this service for free, or he can post them to you) but definitely worth it. Very interesting chap who loves what he does. Great tour of some of the interesting projects he’s working on too.

I think the inserts really lift the interior, set off the carbon and just look cool!

Delighted.
