Wife was using our cayenne over the weekend and the window switch for the passenger side just jumped out and won't go back in. Also the little chrome tip fell off the drivers side switch.

Vehicle is still under extended warranty and it seems a well documented problem. Any ideas of the extended warranty is likely to cover this?

Seems crazy that on a low mileage one owner reasonably expensive car that something as simple as switches are so poorly made.

We have the same problem with the chrome trim on our 2016 Cayenne S. Both trims on drivers side have come away. Was told by OPC that this is not covered by warranty and only thing to do is replace entire door switch unit, cost circa £150 for the part.
Interested to hear of any other experiences with this.

I have just been told the same by Porsche in Poznan and Porsche in Warsaw. Apparently it's wear and tear despite it being a well documented failure point.

I shall order this later. It can't possibly be worse than OEM really can it.

Easy enough to remove with a plastic pry tool as the rear end of the panel. Ended up ordering a Chinese replacement from Amazon which should arrive tomorrow £30 delivered as opposed to £140 from Porsche. Not a lot of cash at all but that's really the point.

Chinese replacement came from Amazon today, 2 minutes to fit.

Works well, feels slightly better quality than the oem one too.
Bottom left button for rear window locks is slightly different though.
