Hi,

I am new to Porsche ownership having owned a GT3.

I’m looking to use an OCP for servicing, warranty, tyres (I have centre lock wheels).

Wolverhampton are closest to me as I live in Staffordshire, however I would travel for a better dealer.

What are your views on service and price?

Thanks

Chris

I’ve used Wolverhampton a few times - competent but not particularly friendly is how I would describe them. They did not get my 4 year service and Warranty renewal this year as despite being a regular customer they quoted silly prices and I couldn’t bothered to negotiate with them so took my business to Sutton Coldfield who were more sensible off the bat despite never having been a customer before.

First went to Sollihull who could not even change an oil filter without leaving it weeping - they also were the only one of 5 OPCs who did not respond to a request for costs on my latest work - everyone else replied within 24 hours.

Not sure I would go so far as recommending any of the 3 but I think perhaps expectations of OPCs wanting to build service relationships perhaps a thing of the past - I’ve owned the brand for 25 years on and off. It’s all about money now so go into with that mindset would be my advice.

Great, they are not far from me. Thanks for the insight. Better to learn from other people’s experiences!

I had the last major service done by them on my 997 GT3, just to keep up the run of OPC dealer stamps. They were very good to deal with, no problems at all.

I tend to use Sports & Classic in Cheshire for most stuff though. They looked after my previous 996 turbo well and I use them for all of the non-standard bits and set-up. I don't have OPC warranty though.

OPC Chester get a lot of good reviews and they're probably just as close......

Probably a bit far for you but I use Tewkesbury and find them very helpful.
