Hi, yes mine was in for a major service about 4 weeks ago and they said 1 of the condensers was leaking. As there was no sign of stone damage they replaced it under warranty. Paid to have the other done at the same time on the basis it’s probably only a matter of time,

Normally no but I have read of at least one person having it done as a warranty job. I am sure it was on 911uk 997 forum. Worth asking there.

Sorry, showing my lack of knowledge on some of this. Thought it was the same thing as they are a common issue and there was a brief debate as to whether it was covered under warranty.

The coolant crossover pipes were replaced under warranty on my 987.2 Cayman, spotted during a service.

Hi,

I had mine changed last week on a 2009 2.9l Boxster by OPC Cambridge on the extended warranty. I was told it would have cost me about £1800; apparently very labour intensive. My coolant was going low. They diagnosed these. Will be getting a report from them soon...

Thanks
Haider

If the pipe or its seal has failed it will be covered- if it cant be replaced without consequential damage the adjoining parts will be covered.

Yes. The coolant crossover pipes were replaced under warranty on my 987.1 Cayman. Again I wasn't aware of the issue. The dealer noticed it during a service, and proactively replaced them.

Hi there, how long is the warranty or does it just depend on how the claim is made, I'm sure my 997 2005 is in the same position....thanks
