I am confused as to the actual cost of replacing these. I had been led to believe that the price has dropped significantly but have just been quoted by an OPC £10,700 for new discs and pads fitted. Is this the standard price?

For outright new that is probably correct, however if they talk to PCGB they will find out there is an offer for exchange discs now. The cost of these is under £5K now so with pads and fitting will be under £6K, not cheap still but getting better.

I did have a chat at PCGB recently with these brakes even popping up on Boxsters now (not have a pop there before anyone takes offense!) and the beleif is that they will soon be in the region of £3K a pair (but no confirmation as to when....).
