So what do they do here exactly ?
Have a little read of this .. https://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/cars/air-...I went this year and last year as well. At the risk of offending the owners of water cooled Porsches I enjoyed last year's event much more. Last year was aircooled cars only in the "display" area around pseudo artistically arranged hay bales whereas this year was just loads and loads of Porsches parked in a field. Before anyone gets too wound up I own own of each flavour but find the aircooled cars much more interesting as so many more have evolved over the years and been changed to suit their owner's personal tastes and aspirations. This year's event could have been a random PCGB meet or Simply Porsche at Beaulieu - it was no longer special. IMHO etc etc.

Catering was terrible though - both the service and quality.

Tks So they basically sell apparel and run alongside the Autofarm business .
Good to know
I get his idea of buying what he calls a s
t Box and developing it to your exact driving enjoyment.Trouble is costs escalate but then if you're keeping it forever then it matters not i guess

Is this another variation to Magnus Walker? Even the beard tried it's best to play along.

Sounds about right, I was one of the modern car gatecrashers, this was in fact my 1st ever Porsche event so with no knowledge of the history had no idea it was meant for the air-cooled purists, then again, all the modern cars were popped in a separate enclosure so not sure it spoilt anything, I also suspect they couldn't do all the hay bale accessorising etc as it then becomes an invite to sit / mingle / not socially distance etc.Jesting aside, I went to this and thought it was great just to be out chatting to people again. I heard that about the catering, we are local enough that didn't need to partake, was great to see so many lovely cars out though.
As I wrote earlier , we went to this , in a "MODERN " Porsche !!!
The catering was pretty poor , not much choice and expensive , but having had a look online the day before we bought our own picnic.
Not much to do in terms of entertainment / stalls / merchandise etc !!
HOWEVER , that is to miss the point.
This was one of those events where all the interesting stuff was in the "Car Park " . There were hundreds and hundreds of classic Porsche of every type , age , colour , model etc , including old 911's of the sort that you normally only see in magazines.
All the car events we go to , my wife always wants to know which car I would take home given the chance ......?
I can honestly say I was changing my mind every other car , and i genuinely couldn't settle on one car.
We will definitely go again next year , even though to the " Purists ' we were in the "wrong " car , and on the face of it there was nothing to do !!!!
