Updating the Sat Nav - has anyone done it?

I've got a gen1 Cayenne, thinking of updating the satnav. I quite like the OEM look so anything Pioneer, Alpine etc is out - and, as Porsche haven't got a newer version available yet, I was thinking of the Android types:



These look very similar to the OEM unit.

You can get these for all Porsches so generic question for all: Has anyone installed one - what are they like, is the sound quality decent, and crucially, what do you lose by replacing the PCM (for example, do they communicate with the display on the dashboard, record trip and MPG etc, or is all of that data cut off?).
