So with those two items out of the way, let's also avoid, comments on residuals, trim, spec, comparisons between hydraulic and EPAS steering, how few there are, and all the other frequently tedious nonsense that's spouted on here on a daily basis biggrin

So, just enjoy it for what it is basically :

Amazing car. I have only seen one in reality here in Canada. Race version with the later headlights.
Very desirable but beyond my skill level to find its capabilities, and then, would you want to do that with a car of this value? I hope someone does!

I keep kicking myself slippy,i was so close to buying chassis 001,viewed it at reading at 300k,what put me off was the quote from weisach for the engine refresh of 65k.
Fantastic cars, but i chose the cgt route instead.
Good vid.

Hi Paul, I hope you're well ?

All I can say is ...

Ouch frown

A bit like when Colin B said I could buy Russell's 993 GT2 for £65-70K ... banghead

I saw a beautiful silver GT1 in the pits at Spa about 6 years ago. It had a small 'connection' out on track. Ouch. Not too much damage but still...

Does this car live near Aberdeen / Aberdeenshire as I am sure I have seen pictures of this on OPC Aberdeen staff members page or similar

What a lovely colour and I like the yellow stitching but then I like blue and yellow

^ Yes. Seen it casually parked several years back. Think the owner also owns the F50 which they also featured recently. If it’s who I think it is, they might also feature his rather special Jag!

The F50 in the video is owned by Stewart Roden Motors in West Lothian

It must be just epic. Beyond even the CGT - and that is the best road car that I ever drove.

Hi Francis, I hope you’re well ?
Back then I was struggling to see the value over and above my 993 RS.
Another one of my epic Peter Best moments biggrin

As we're not discussing investments here, I think you made the right choice. The CGT V10 surely way more intoxicating than the turbo six in this? Purely as something to drive.

One of these would be an even more special thing to own though, wonderful. And good on the owner, sounds like he / she makes good use of it.

This era, where LM cars were actually closely connected to road cars, is a real peak for me.
