991.1 Turbo S ownership daily driver
Discussion
Im contemplating buying a 991/1 Turbo S> I would appreciate any owners experience using as a Daily Driver Social only. Note i have a 996GT2 and 5.2 SC Griffith so as i see it the 991 will outpace them all but is all singing and dancing compared too the 2 analogue cars i Have. So Turbo s may be to far too Digi with driving aids and is it true it is over capable on the Road/
Thanks Cheers
Thanks Cheers
Not an issue I’m likely to be facing for a while, but I’d say that for a weekend car, enjoyment (for me) involves working the car through the rev ranges and trying to get the most out of it. In that regard, you may feel like you’re waging a constant battle of restraint with yourself.
However, as a daily, the bone-crunching power and ease of access to it would be great traits.
I say this as someone who doesn’t have a daily driver, so take that for what it’s worth - and get it bought. A good friend has a 991TS and it is hysterical. If you’ve got a GT2 it isn’t going to be an entirely new sensation, but I suspect that the ease of access to it would make it a great daily.

i have a 600bhp Gt2 and a 5.2 SC Griff point i was making is that the 996 GT2 and Griff keep you on your toes wereas as you infer and im wary of the all singing and dancing 991TS might get you over confident . But I intend to give it a try Ill keep you posted cheers.
You're more likely to lose license in 991 turbo s for sure. It will destroy a 996 GT2 driving one handed in any situation. Even a 700bhp 996 GT2 will not keep up with a regular 991 turbo s in most conditions. A racing driver in the GT2 might do but he'd be risking life and limb as they can be spikey not called the widow maker for nothing. 991 as safe as houses. Really is that good. Maybe too good?
