I was sorry to see that both of these magazines have gone into the ownership of Kelsey who seem to be taking over many titles. I’ve been a reader of both since Clive Househam started them and been an occasional advertiser. Likewise some of their long standing writers have announced they have departed with this takeover. That seems to be the trend when they take over a title. The size of the mags have reduced and there seems to be less articles than before. One of Kelsey’s established editors seems to now have these magazines as well but I don’t like his style of writing, it’s more about him than the cars.
One of the BMW magazines they took over had me writing in to say that I didn’t want to read a full page by one of its journalists about his Honda purchase. I don’t buy that BMW magazine any more and I won’t buy these Porsche ones again.

If some of the contributors have left 911. & PW it might be worth reading again. I cancelled my subscription after 15 years because it got so dull and poorly written.

You could try Excellence magazine if you want something a little different to the usual UK offerings.

It is a US magazine and only available here on subscription, I think. It publishes 9 times a year and the last time I renewed i paid about £100 for 27 issues, so about £4 each including postage. I have been buying it since about 1996.

Good call regarding Excellence, its been on my radar for a while now but never checked if they ship to UK.

I lost interest in 911&PW about 10 years ago. Always felt that the articles were repetitive, mostly anecdotal and generally not deep enough. Seemed a bit "promotional" at times too.

Actually subscribe to Christophorus. Its very lifestyle indeed, but there are also some nice articles about Porsche history and new developments. I find its generally well written, high quality and am happy to continue reading as its one of the longest running car publications out there.

Christophorus: definitely lifestyle stuff and sometimes frothy bks. Nice photography though. Occasional interesting article.

Thanks for the heads-up for Excellence. Think I'll give it a go now that 911&PW has gone down the toilet and the other UK ones were already there...
