Anyone bought a Porsche from Dove House Motors recently? Like the look of their website and their stock. Spoke to a salesman there on the phone yesterday and he seemed pretty knowledgeable about the cars without being at all pushy.

I was just about to say that a good mate of mine keeps going on about this company, and has formed a similar opinion to yourself. Then I realised it's you! Welcome to Pistonheads mate.

I have bought two cars from Dove House. I bought a Noble M12 GTO in August last year to use in the Cannonball Run which was fantastic. Traded that in for an 04 plate 911 GT3 in February this year. They didn't even have the car in stock. I asked them to source the car and was quite particular about requesting the Clubsport version, colour etc.

They offered full trade in on the Noble and a far better deal than my local Porsche dealership offered.
I dealt with Simon and Merv, I even got a round of golf thrown in with the deal!

If you want to discuss further, e-mail me.

Although i've never bought a car from them, I can safely say that Dove House is a pretty awesome place !
They're well up with the Pistonheads thing too. We've used them as a start / finish for a couple of Northants runs. They've put on food and drink for us, so get a big from me ! There'll be another one soon, you'll have to come along

I recently bought a GT3 Mk1 from Dove House, and have to say that the level of service was pretty special. I'd (annoyingly) been messed around by my local OPC...sales guy who saw me had pathetic product knowledge - 'has it got the sport exhaust option?' 'uhhh...don't know.' (etc.), and they also offered me a truly insulting trade figure on my Z3M against a 996 TT)

Dove House were much better - they have a fantastic facility up there, they are very obviously a bunch of guys who know and love performance cars of all types (which makes a HUGE difference over your average OPC retard) and the whole sale process was easy and hassle free...they also introduced me to a really good finance broker who gave me a better deal than the offer I currently had.

Simon had excellent product knowledge, and on top of that he was honest about what he DIDN'T know and found out the required info quickly (one or two tweaks I requested pre delivery e.g. lightweight flywheel and competition clutch). Their trade in offers were the best I had (shopped around a lot), and they also opened on Saturday for me to pick up my car, and the handover process was a real pleasure.

So, IMO (and I'm a confirmed Porsche 'nut') I'd have no hesitation in buying another car from them...though it's very hard to imagine what could EVER replace my GT3 (maybe a GT2...lol)

...any chance you got the details of that broker?

Email it to me if you don't want to post it.

Lee I hope we can make you a happy customer at some point, but as importantly I hope you find the right car for you.

Good to see you guys at DHM follow these topics! I'll keep an eye on your website to see what comes in and drop you an email with a rough spec (we have spoken recently as well!). I don't play golf but a slap-up meal will do as an alternative!
When's the next 'run' down there then?

Sorry for late response Beesma. Did forget to mention that generous sponsorship deal for the Cannonball last year - greatly appreciated. It covered almost half the fuel bill for the week!!!

How about entering an event yourself this year, I'm sure you'll have a suitable motor in stock to take.

Go on, you know you want to - it'll be the best week of your life (apart from the time detained by European Police officers - but that all adds to the enjoyment)
