Coupe rear seats are better than cab (less upright), but only marginal difference.

Headroom in targa's up to the 964 is better, but still wouldn't call them adult (unless short of stature) friendly.

Cab is normally the worst (with the roof up)
Coupe fine for kids and can be ok for anyone up to c.5ft tall.
Worth checking Targa - may have more headroom

Depends how tall the front seat passengers are. Mate of mine used to call his DB9 his family car...but’s he’s 5’6” and his wife is 5’

In all seriousness you can kind of get away with three adults in a 911...as long as two of them aren’t over 6’

this
my wife and daughter have managed to sit one behind the other in my 991 plenty of times without issue, but they are both only a little over 5 ft tall.

Funnily enough I'm quite short and can kinda fit in the back of my 997 Cab, seats are awful but there is decent headroom and the roof is soft on the head.

Tried sitting in a 992 coupé, could barely fit and terrible headroom.

Neither is great but I've had tall people sit in the back of the Cab with the roof down, but this is limited to them being behind the passenger seat. That said, try sitting in the back of something like a Fiat 124 Spider...

A 992 Coupe has less space in the back than a 997 Cab ? That's amazed me ! Though I think the engine is further forward so maybe that is why.

To be clear I meant headroom rather than length. In the rear of the Cab I can sit up straight (almost, as the seats lean slightly forward). In the coupé I can't as the roof seems to sit lower.
Same may not apply to the 991/992 cabs as their roof shape is closer to that of the coupé.

I suspect the older the 911 and the squishier the roof, the more headroom you gain.

Maybe just me but the leg space you can get around by squishing the front passenger, having to crane your neck for an hour is a totally different matter.

Rear base seat cushions were only Velcro’d in on a 997 so you could steal more headroom sitting on something thinner.
