Which Porsche dealer south of M25?

I'm about to place an order for a new Macan. I've got relationships with dealers around middle England but will be moving to the south coast soon. It would be good to start off a new relationship with an order but I can't find much online feedback for dealers like Bournemouth/Portsmouth (I know they are the same firm).

I could be relocated by the time my order comes through and don't fancy driving to the Midlands to collect.

Any suggestions who to call?

I'm afraid I can't help with any dealership recommendations, but would be interested in what the quoted lead time is on a new Macan order?

April deliveries. One dealer has a GTS slot in March.

Oh, and for what it's worth a good friend has recommended Guilford Porsche, he's had quite a few off them.

Portsmouth have been good for me, but I have only paid them money and not had any problems to resolve. In general, most companies are good in that situation. Guildford was a bit arrogant towards me, but that was many years ago.

@broxie I can recommend Stephen Dennis at Porsche Centre Tonbridge. He knows his stuff and the new dealership is magnificent, like a mini Porsche Experience Centre.

I’d recommend you talk to Bruce Copping at Mid-Sussex. I’ve had excellent service from them over the last 7 years, which is why my car is always serviced there, even with a different OPC on my doorstep.

I deal with Bournemouth. Not had a problem with them. I get the impression they actually care.

I've bought off Stephen a new GT3 some twenty years ago and had a good experience so I can recommend him too. No politics with DP's or having buying history rubbish in those days.

David Churchill at Porsche Reading which is HQ. Tonbridge was good too and I have used Portsmouth for servicing.

Have nothing but praise for Porsche Guildford - they're 100 miles from me, but their service was outstanding compared to my local OPC.

A few recommendations, and good feedback from the internet, for Guildford. Added them to my list of contenders. Chap at Bournemouth very helpful too, apparently they are in the process of building and moving to a new facility although I never saw what the old one was like.

Was hoping for a test drive this week but now Boris has decided otherwise. Only a tiny bit nervous about buying a car that I have never stood next to let alone sat inside or driven!

Spoke to a Scottish OPC a a week ago and they were quoting June / July for the same car.

Tonbridge - don't toe the line with regards to Fixed Price Servicing if this matters, 1/3 cheaper at South London (Sidcup)

also, called Tonbridge sales 5 years ago about a car in stock, still waiting for the call back

Marc Elgar at OPC Portsmouth. Excellent advisor, supported by a first class team. Makes the whole process smooth but special.

Bought my Macan GTS from Portsmouth, service was excellent, however as Bournemouth are nearer to me I am now dealing with them. Service feels really personal and like a previous poster said, it seems like they really care.

This - Bruce is a top man and has been there forever - I’ve had good experience with the service dept there too historically
