Dension 500 stopped working

Hi there,

I have a 2008 C4S which has a Dension 500 (non BT version) fitted by the previous owner which has been working perfectly since I bought the car in 2019. Last week it stopped working properly and now I have no sound from it. When I plug the phone in it still has power going to it as the phone starts charging as normal, but no music plays and if I start music playback on the phone then sound will come form the phone speakers rather than the car stereo.

I have tried to reset the Dension unit using reset button on the switch module, and also tried new cables but no luck. Has anyone else had this issue and if so I there a way to sort it without taking my car interior apart to find the main dension unit? It's a bit cold and snowy up here in Scotland just now and I can't get the car in my garage at the moment to work on it inside.
