Now that’s some fantastic fitting! I assume the front view is wonky, get a spirit level on it and post another picture.... love to see how bad it is!

For me, 911 came back from getting rattles fixed in passenger door with 3 new chips on the windscreen, one right in front of the driver, plus a clean with a pan scourer and dirty dish water.... scratches on rear arch and front bumper......

How hard is it to not screw things up.... clearly very hard!

SA and now DP notified..... at least they put my new plate on straight.... 😉

Did they not use the guide dimples and the correct plinth?

That's awful frown

They had the original plinth from new with the original front plate, the front PU was intact and had PPF ... I had decided to fit the plate only because it seemed foolish to risk being pulled for a stick-on plate.

The top of the plate runs along the top line of the black plinth, so yes, it is on a wonk by the difference in the notch position against the line of the PU.

That's non-specific deity awful! I mean just how much of a screw up is it possible to make.

Keep us updated, do OPC's not have a final check before giving the vehicle back.

So have they not used the guide dimples when drilling the holes then? Surely they must have noticed them?

Or do GT3s not get them like GT4s/Spyders do?

To be fair, there were no dimples that I could see on the front PU ... which is what gave the car such a clean front line ... but the notches on the plinth are surely a clue ?

I do have a stick on plate but wasn't sure that I could get it level and central (another reason for leaving it to my OPC).

As it is, I think I am going to have to live with it. I don't want to re-drill, I don't want to re-paint and PPF ... and to be fair, the OPC should live with the problem that they have created. It's just a shame that the plate says Cardiff, the OPC is my local OPC to whom I had to take the car in order to transfer the tracker to my name.

Total wkers chris, tell them to put it right,it can still be resolved with out new holes in your bumper,if they cant cope with that take it to a professional company

I searched and could not get a definite answer on this ... it may be that stick-on plates with the kite-mark, in the correct reflective material and with the name of the manufacturer included ... of full size and perpendicular, level and rigid ! ... would be OK.

But with a nice car I didn't feel the need to give "anybody" the opportunity to argue that it wasn't ...

No, as long as it's legal size, font, spacing etc and is as reasonably vertical as possible

Chris just take the plinth off and order a legal stick on plate instead. Highgate house will do you one amongst others.

I agree with Paul. Get them to sort it. Bloody ridiculous. If they are willing to let visible stuff like this go out the door what’s going on with the less obvious.....

Thanks for the views ... I do have a full size stick-on plate but that isn't the point.

How on earth can any self respecting OPC or OPC technician turn out something like this ?

It is truly pathetic and raises a far greater question ... I have 18 months OPC warranty on my car, can I trust them if I need it ?

Very strange.

I changed my plates recently and simply taped the new to the old and drilled the holes. No dramas at all. I’m struggling to see why this would be a difficult job for them?

Well this wrong needs righting ... I popped in this morning to have a look at the cars (now that this is allowed !) ... and mentioned my number pate issue.

Service were complete booked up but a Master Technician was asked to have a quick look and in minutes the problem was sorted with no extra holes being required.

Things can go wrong particularly in these complicated times and often the way in which a problem is sorted tells as much as anything about a business.

Job done, so many thanks to my OPC.
