I have a deposit down on a CT turbo and have been playing around on the configurator, as you do. Whilst I've got a spec that I'm fairly happy with, I'd be really interested to know peoples opinions on the options that they added to their cars.

What options did you order that you wish you hadn't, which did you get that you are really glad that you did, and which did you wish you had gone for and didn't?

Overall, are you please with your Taycan's? Mine will be replacing a Tesla model 3.

Brilliant car to drive. If you are a family of four as we are i strongly advise picking Four zone climate and Heated rear seats. Pano roof absolute must and Power steering plus works well and suits the Taycan. Avoid the gimmicky electric charge port as i guarantee it will have issues leaving you stranded. The 20'' wheels offer the best ride/handling balance and with a better range than the 21''.
I see no need for any of the performance chassis options as the handling is limited by the weight, however this is very low down lowering CoG which aids handling. Full leather a must and i especially hate the cheap looking but expensive Leather free Vegan interior. I have 14 way seats which are brilliant.

Have a good read through this, which has been the most used Taycan thread.

Thanks for the thoughts Taffy, a couple of those options were certainly already on my 'must haves'. The electric charging port point is interesting - is that your experience of it? My sensible hat would have me order with 20", but I really do like the 21" CT design wheels... I agree with not trying to recreate a 911 or similar with performance chassis options, and I'm not interested in including those. Comfortable do it all cruiser with plenty of accelerative punch is what I'm after.

OPC said I might be able to have a build slot October-ish, but I'm very relaxed about that and in no rush. I'm more interested in one Q1 22 and was told I can delay if offered one earlier than I like, so plenty of time for procrastinating over options.

My only fixed points are CT and turbo. Other than cosmetic considerations e.g. colour (and wheels to some extent) I'm keen on lots of glass, rear axle steer, HU display, and good park-assist. Stuff I'm wavering over is colour (Mamba or Neptune are current favourites), club leather (need to see it to make my mind up) and sports chrono (I like the idea of the easy to change modes on the wheel, less so the clock).

Grantstown - thank you, yes I had been dipping into that

My current config is something like this http://www.porsche-code.com/PM7CEYL3

Lovely spec. For me, the mamba green is a great choice, but as ever this subjective.

I’d agree that powered charge cover is something that could go wrong and these cars have had niggles with tech. Best avoided.
