Should I get this? Forgot to spec it on the build but hoping can still get fitted if needed (car meant to arrive June)
The plan is to only charge at home

I would imagine retrofitting something like this would be very expensive....could be wrong though ! Normally the wiring loom for each car is totally bespoke depending on the spec of the car so I don’t think it will be easy.

Don’t think it’s retrofittable. We have it on ours and it’s extremely useful when charging at public sites but I guess if you will always be charging overnight at home it isn’t a big loss.

However, if there’s any way at all to get it added to the build, I would smile

If you’re charging at home, you’re not missing out, on a PHEV the battery is small enough that 3.6kw is plenty to replenish overnight.

It’s only really for public charging that it’s useful. And residuals but the impact isn’t that great as most people don’t even charge the car at all!

From the Porsche manual:

Car arrives end of June but I still don’t get those charge times..
EU 32A (3.6kW) 4 hours presume that’s with an electrician installing a type 2 charger..
Doesn’t seem worth if it’s only 6 hours to charge when plugging into the house mains
