Sunroof bits???
Discussion
Whilst enjoying the warmer weather recently I had my sunroof and both front windows open (3.2 Carrera). I heard a small crack sound and assumed it was another stone chip on my bumper  - it was only when I attempted to shut the electric sunroof that I realised something had snapped off...
On the passenger side (rhd uk car) the mechanism is not pushing down the small 'wind deflector' back into the retracted position so as the roof can shut - anyone got any idea where I may be able to get the parts to fix this??? I think its just the end part which fixes to the two components together which has given way.
Meanwhile I can use the roof and manually push the deflector down but, I am inclined not to use it just in case...
Any help appreciated.

It sounds like it's the same sort of mechanism used on a MK2 Golf (knowing Porsche it probably is) - if it is the metal arm attatched to the deflector that has broken, a new part is easily available from your local VW dealer (or probably www.eurocarparts.com or design911.com). Certainly try design911 - they've been extrememly helpful when I've dealt with them, and they carry virtually every part under the sun

Thats very kind, if you wouldnt mind that'd be great!!!
Im going to take another look later today (Friday) and see exactly what it is thats snapped off - I was more concerned with getting it shut when it originally happened
I will logon tomorrow pm again and check back here.
Cheers

Should give you a good idea if it is the same bit - and they are nice and shiny stainless steel!

Mmmm - that doesnt look familiar to me. The part that broke was a very small plastic connector piece I think...
