986 S hesitation at low RPM.

I have recently purchased a 2000(W) reg 3.2S but have yet to collect the car from the dealer.

I was due to collect it on Saturday but due to a problem, this has been put back and back. So now nearly 2 weeks since paying for the car I still dont have it.

The dealer says that if I were to drive the car, being my 1st porsche I wont notice anything wrong but because they drive them all the time something is wrong. Basically its hesitating slightly in the low RPM range.

No fault is showing on the computer, the dealer changed the MAF but the fault remains. The car has now been taken to the OPC in guildford, they have tried a few things and are now talking to porsche in germany.

Has anyone come across anything like this before.

No but I would be concerned. New car, you've paid your money and two weeks later, still no definitive idea of what's wrong. Plenty of good boxsters out there to chose from. I would be 'considering' to ask for a refund. My opinion only!

Should get the car tomorrow and cant wait. AFN in guildford have been working through a checklist of possible causes and seem to at last found the problem. They have replaced the fuel pump and it is apparently now fixed. Time for another sleepless night of anticipation.

Matt, I am enjoying every minute of driving the car. Even took it to work today, in the pouring rain. I must learn not be so heavy with the right foot on the wet roads, its difficult because the car makes such a lovely noise.
