Hi

Excited I have my allocation for 992 C4 Coupe GTS and now need to submit my spec as its due for delivery Nov

So love to get some of the more expert people on the forums views on what to have/not to have

With a little insight on what I'm looking for...I personally think its specced pretty good standard. I'm thinking of yellow as the colour choice and getting the GTS interior pack but I want to keep the options tight based on already having another Porsche that I over indulged on the options so don't want to go there again :-)

I want to enjoy the car of course but my priority with this car (I'm sure its not everyone's view) only getting options that will be worth it when I come to trade back in/resell

For example, sunroof is £1600 as much as the roof line looks nicer and it opens up will I get £1600 worth of use from it.....what's people views on the 'Extended interior package in matt carbon' OPC put it on my initial config but at £2231 I'm not sure

Look forward to replies
Thanks

PS....just noticed I posted in 'Porsche General' rather than 911 subforum not sure if a mod can/wants to move the post

Congrats!

I am waiting for my allocation in USA.
I submitted my build to my local dealer.
Picked:
Red color $0
Bucket seats $5,900
Red seat belts $340
CF roof $3900 (still undecided)

Can you add aero kit option in UK?
I am still thinking about it it is $2,100 here in the US.

Any options from your current Porsche that you like/dislike?
Besides being a sunroof, when open it also makes your exhaust a bit louder. £1600 well spent in my opinion.

If open top motoring appeals, why not go for the targa 4 GTS? Residuals on that will be fantastic.

There’s a wealth of information here, all based on the 991.2 GTS but obviously very similar to the 992.

My order went in last week, it’s my first car of this type ever from new.

Spec wise I’ve added
Rear axel steer
PDCC
Glass sun roof, as it looks good with Crayon
Bose
360 cameras
High gloss pack
And privacy glass.

I’m not sure if I should upgrade the lights, add the GTS interior package and finally add lift. But it’s getting silly money to add these.

Thanks for all the responses so far....nice to see different views and shows how individual we all are

Ok I going to add the sunroof
Interesting config you've gone for their I had the High Gloss pack on and took it off but have added the GTS interior pack

So far I'm
Yellow
GTS Interior Pack
Sunroof
PDK
ParkAssist
Rev counter in Crayon
Privacy Glass

Can’t help thinking that high spec’d 992s are getting so far removed from the original ‘911’ theme - more technology, driver aids, luxury items, conveniences, weight…..

Its saving grace might be the 992 T, if they do it properly.
Be interesting to see the weight difference between a sensibly spec’d 992 T with pccbs, etc, and a generously spec’d GTS, as this could be a noticeable determining factor for the best on-road driving dynamics.

I'm in exactly the same position (November delivery, 4 GTS)

Going for GTS package (£5k is a bit pricey but car needs a leather dash at a minimum )
RWS - the one option that makes a difference to the way it drives (PCCB excepted)
Privacy glass and a few other minor things

Thinking about sunroof but had it on the last 2 911's and quite like to try one without

911's are getting expensive, the 992T may be the answer but my rather basic 991T was £92k so the new one will be touching £100k

As I've been playing with config's I've noticed that when you go for the GTS interior package £2811 you are then also forced to have the Extended Interior Package in matt carbon for another £2231 when I only wanted the GTS interior pack

I think with Crayon you need the high gloss pack, if I had the Gentian blue, I wouldn’t bother with that or the glass roof. Thank have plenty of time to keep changing my mind, and if there are too many Crayon spec cars I will probably change.

I noticed that as well !! I want the Gts interior pack but £5500 is crazy , no way I can justify it.. I’m trying to keep the extras down to about 5k but it’s not easy . !!!!!
Just went Met paint grey , sports side skirts , folding mirrors , manual , privacy glass, light design packages , Rev counter in white and Bose .. very tempted with heated leather steering as not fan of racetek on wheel and do a lot of cold weather driving but will prob avoid .Still May go Aerokit but really worried I will look about 18 with it hahh

I also like the RS spyder wheels, over the central locking wheel nut, but would that have a negative effect on future values?

I just added heated steering to my config just before submitting and was going to go folding mirrors but like you trying to keep the extras down I decided folding mirrors or heated steering wheel not both

I've left the £5500 interior pack on but I'm bit peeved the way they've done it by splitting into 2 seperate line items but they when you pick it being forced to spend even more

Since when has a heated steering wheel become essential in a 911 FFS.
What is the world coming to ?

I’d think if you lived in colder parts of the country and used the car daily heated steering would be a nice feature to have .

I guess No extras at all are essential , just personal preferences . ….
