944 steering wheel

The steering wheel on my 944 is looking a little tired and I would like to replace it but I dont really want to swap it with a new OE one though.

Therefore I am looking for an aftermarket wheel that fits in with the interior (ie black leather, with no shiny alloy bits) I have seen a few but they dont seem to have a boss that fits my car.

Can anyone reccomend one?

MOMO boss, then pick a wheel at your leisure..

If you want to stay Porsche, try the three spoke 968 style - very neat.

Would a momo boss limit me to a momo wheel only?

I have seen a nice 4 spoke wheel made by moto-lita on their website but I dont know if they make a boss to fit my car (their list only mentions the 944 until 1986)

Go to demontweeks.co.uk - find a wheel you like and just ask for a 944 boss - easy as that

I've put a MOMO Prototipo on mine (early dash) as used on the 917,935 etc,,I got it from a place in California,They are new/old stock.Pelican parts might have a couple left, but you'll be pushed to find one in the UK. Beautifully made chunky 3 spoke wheel (all black)

Having said that,they probably suit the early dash cars better,and I'm assuming your's is 1986 on.

Most European wheels have the same 6-bolt attachements onto the boss. So as long as you get a boss for this format of wheel, you would have a wide choice from Momo, OMP, Sparco, etc.

If the 911 boss is the same as the 944 boss, I have a sparco boss available. Car was 1992 964. Let me know if you want to buy it!
