Hi all

I have water getting into the cabin of my venerable 996 C4S. It appears to be getting in the rear, but I can’t locate where. The rear window seal appears intact, and I would be grateful if anyone has experienced this problem and how they cured it. My next step is to look at the sunroof seals and clean them up, however I would appreciate any advice.

Sunroof drains would be my bet.

Where is it wet? Where the AC runs through the front bulkhead on mine was blocked (or not sealed properly), I ended up with a wet carpet behind the passenger seat!

Sunroof is also a good shout.

How do you know water is getting in?

Mine doesn't have a sunroof. The obvious tell tale for me was misted up windows. I managed to clear these up in mine by clearing the drains near the battery tray. I couldn't find any damp patches but the standing water was just fogging up the windows while the car was parked.

I'm adding some pics of mine. That's the battery tray removed. The drains are positioned to each side of the aperture underneath the battery tray.

Yep, it was the drains overflowing in mine that provided the water to run through the bulkhead AC seal!!

I know you are meant to be gently, but I stuck screwdrivers down mine and it worked a treat biggrin
