964 RS ADJUSTABLE ROLL BAR KIT
Discussion
Can anyone help in my quest to find a 964RS adjsutable roll(sway) bar kit(front and back) with associated drop links (preferably second hand)to retro fit my 1991 C2.
Or suggest a firm that sells an after market alternative. I nearly fell over when porsche quoted me the their prices.....
thanks

I've been looking for a set as well. Cheapest I've found so far is from Gert at Carnewal. Still not exactly cheap mind you, especially with the Euro strengthening at the moment !
There are various companies like FVD, Cargraphic and others in the US who make kits, but they don't seem any cheaper - especially if you have to factor in shipping, duty and VAT.
I'd be interested to hear if you do manage to find a cheap source !

Hi Jamie,
a Porsche specialist firm called performance Parts Direct or something in the USA send me a catologue every two months or so. In the most recent one they have Weltmeister kits which are adjustable front and rear for $469:00 each, that works out at £267:00, how is that compared with £860 quote from Porsche!
If you are interested I can do some researh and try and get a better price if we order two sets together. Even factoring the cost of shipping and duty thats got to be worth it.
Lets not forget Jamie that at the end of the day its only a shaped rod of metal with holes at either end of it so there is no special porsche black art, so have a little think...

Most places I looked there is a huge price difference between the price of the front and rear bars (no idea why), but I reckon as a package including shipping Gert is still the cheapest I've found at c. £480 for front and rear.

If you are able to get a deal somewhere for a bulk purchase then I'm up for it.
Jamie
Oh and by the way I think Weltmeister only do ARBs for cars upto 1989 3.2 Carrera - don't think they do a 964 kit - but I stand to be corrected !

You are probably right about the make of roll bar, as i was typing i didnt have the catalogue in front of me and was using my poor memory I may have got the name wrong. Your supplier sounds good, and i checked out their website..
Are you in a position to contact Gert with a view on price negotiation for two sets, if so I am ready when you are. Out of interest where are you based?
